Swimming with Cousin Alesia

My cousin, Alesia, lives in Cullman and came up for an over night visit a few weeks ago.  Will and I took her swimming with us on Saturday.  Here are a few pictures from the pool.

All American Baby

4th of July is Pat's favorite holiday!  He is in love with shooting off fireworks, bbq, and spending time with family and friends.  We live in an awesome neighborhood where we can do all of those things!  Each year Pat spends too much money on fireworks and puts on a show for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.  We're lucky to have a great pool right down the street with a fenced in tennis court.  Pat and a few other friends shoot off the fireworks from the tennis court while everyone else enjoys from the parking lot.  Happy 4th Everybody!  We are so proud to live in this great country!  I really didn't take any pictures on the 4th.  Will spent the night with my parents and I just didn't have my camera around.  I did manage to get a few of Will in his 4th outfit!  Thanks Aunt Hilda for the cute outfit.  We loved it.

Meeting Ellie

I lived in Birmingham for four years before Pat and I married and we moved to Georgia and then to Huntsville.  I had some of the greatest roommates while I was there and I miss all of them so much!  My roommate, Christine, was married in April of 2009 and had her first baby two weeks before Will was born.  Baby Ellie was born on Valentine's Day and we finally made the trip to Birmingham to meet her when she was christened.  The Paige family is moving to Missouri in a few months.  I am sad they won't be close by.   We will just have to go visit them in Missouri.  Will and Ellie will definitely need a play date!  Check out all the hair on baby Ellie's head.  I couldn't stop running my fingers through it!

4 Months

Time flies when you're having fun!  I can't believe Will is already 4 months old.  He is growing up right before my eyes.  I wish I could keep him this small forever.

Will's Stats at 4 Months:
  • Weighs 16 lbs. 11.5 oz
  • Is 26 5/8 inches long
  • Can almost roll from front to back (that darn arm is just right in the way)
  • Is supporting himself and holding his head up while on his tummy.
  • Stands with support and holds himself up.
  • Is eating bananas, green beans, sweet potatoes, and cereal.
  • Does not mind the water at all!  He's in the pool at least once a week, going under and floating on this back.  We've also been giving him showers.  He loves the water running over his head and it is much more convenient!
  • Does not really nap at day care.  I guess he wants to know what's going on.  Silly boy!
  • Has not been sick one time (knock on wood)
  • Loves his jumperoo...He can enterain himself for hours in that thing.  He's growing out of the swing.  He doesn't like to just sit in it anymore.  I only put him in it if he's going to nap (and like I said, that's few and far between).
  • Goes to bed between 8 and 8:30 and will sleep until 7 ish.  Sometimes later...if we're lucky.
  • Still the LOVE OF OUR LIFE!  He's AWESOME!
At the Doctor, before shots!

Still lovin' life!

He has no idea what's about to hit him!

After shots!  This face is pitiful!

Green Beans Anyone?

As Will's 4 mo b-day approached, Pat and I decided it was time for him to experience something other than formula!  We fed him some cereal when he was about 3 1/2 months old. He hated it.  I'm not sure if it was the cereal he hated or the fact that I was shoving a spoon down his mouth.  Needless to say, there were tears.  He was making such funny faces that I couldn't help but laugh at him.

Feeding Will is the hardest thing I have come across since becoming a mom!  It is a struggle every night.  Not because he doesn't like the food (he seems to love green beans), but because he is constantly moving and food goes everywhere.  Some nights it takes both of us to hold Will down and get him fed!  I'm hoping it gets easier.  Will has also tried bananas. He's not wild about them.  Green beans are definitely a current favorite!

Father's Day

I am so behind in blogging!  Father's Day was almost a month ago and I am just now getting around to sharing some pictures from that great day!  I am finally done with my summer job and can start focusing on getting back to work.  I am not looking forward to that.  Especiallly since I have been out since Feb. 26th.  I only have 3 weeks of summer left...Boo :(.

Now back to Father's Day...My parents had us all over to eat for Father's Day.  I think we ate steak.  It's sad, I can't even remember it's been so long.  We are so thankful to have both of Will's Grandpas right here in Huntsville with us.  They are both very special people and we love them both so much.  Pat and I are extremely lucky to have such caring, involved fathers.  We grew up with two of the best dads any kid could ask for.

Will has one of the greatest Daddy's.  We are so thankful for him everyday!  He is helpful and I definitely couldn't do it without him!  Thank you Pat for being a great husband and father.  We love you so much!

This is the only picture I took of Pat and Will on Father's Day.  Not great, but at least I took one!

So tired after a busy day!

Yummy Ice Cream Cake!  Will can have some next year......

Happy Birthday Aunt B and Grandpa

We celebrated the birthday's of two very important people in the month of June.  Aunt Becky turned 29 on June 8th and Grandpa Clark celebrated his birthday on June 22.  I think he's a little older than Aunt B!  :)  Pat and I hosted a birthday dinner for both of them at our house on their special day!  We are so glad to have them close by so we can celebrate with them.  We love you both so much!  Happy Birthday!
