Will....12 weeks

Will will be 3 months old on Tuesday.  I can not believe it.  I have a hard time remembering what our life was like without him.   I know it wasn't nearly as good!  He has brought us so much joy.  Here are a few pics of Will at 12 weeks....He's growing!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Friday, May 21, was my 30th birthday....YIKES!  It was a great day.  Pat and I went to Guntersville to eat at a restaurant called Crawmamma's with a few of our friends.  It was delicious!  On Saturday Will spent the day with his grandma and Pat and I played in a wiffle ball tournament.  Our team wasn't great, but we had fun.  Needless to say, by Saturday night, we were exhausted.  Pat got me a yummy cookie cake and some gorgeous earrings for my birthday.  It was a great weekend spent with good friends and my sweet little man!  I AM BLESSED!

You Never Outgrow Your Family's Love

Will doesn't realize it yet, but he is a part of one of the greatest families!  My dad is the youngest of four and is very close to his brother and sisters.  This past weekend every one of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their kids came from all over, to Huntsville, to meet Will.  There were 21 of us in all!  We had such a great time just being with each other.  As my Aunt Irene said "THE WEEKEND WAS SUPBERB!"  My dad's family lives all over the U.S.:  Houston and Austin, TX; Washington, D.C. area; and Charlotte N.C.  We don't always get to see each other as much as we would like, but we are still all as close as ever.  We can thank my grandparents for that.  They raised four wonderful children, who have in turn raised children of their own.  Now it's my turn to carry on that tradition and I am proud that I have such awesome role models to turn to!  I hope that I can teach Will the importance of family, just as my parents and grandparents have taught me!  Lots of pictures below......

The Botanical Gardens

If you know my mother, you know she loves flowers.  She loves to buy them, she loves to plant them, and she loves to look at them...even if they aren't hers.  Don't get me wrong, I like for my yard to look good, but I could care less about looking (for hours) at flowers that don't belong to me.  But..... I do love my mom and if she wanted to go look at flowers on mother's day, then that's what we were going to do.  So, Becky, Will, and I headed to the Botanical Gardens with my mom to check out the flowers.

Here's Becky with the Bonsai Trees...I think they are weird.  She loves them.

Becky in the Bamboo...

I decided to take Will in the backpack instead of the stroller.  He loved it, slept most of the time.

Here's Mom walking through the Rose Garden....where the roses weren't blooming.

This is what Becky thought of the Rose Garden.

This is a really old Dogwood Tree that is apparently dying...so sad :(.  It was huge and is historic.  So, it was neat to see.

Some info on the dying Dogwood.

New Life on Mother's Day...This little duck was trying its hardest to make an appearance, but we just couldn't wait around for it.

The Botanical Gardens is a really neat place.  They have things for all ages.  It will be a great place to take Will when he is a little older.  He'll probably want to play on all the stuff they have for kids and not look at the flowers (which is a little more my speed).  Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  We love you and hope you had a great day.
