Will loves his activity mat. It plays songs, has a mirror for him to look at himself, and overall is just awesome. Here's Will having some fun!

Time for Church
On Sunday, March 28, Pat and I decided to take Will to church for the first time. Of course, it was POURING down rain when we needed to leave, but I guess the Lord knew we were taking precious cargo with us and the rain let up right as we were heading to the car. Will was perfect all through church and Sunday school. He slept the entire time. We were even able to stay for our classes pot luck lunch! (Did I mention that he only got up once Saturday night...he usually gets up twice a night) Of course, that hasn't happened again, but it's a start. I was only able to get one picture of Will in his church outfit. He peed on it and Daddy before I could get anymore.

Sneakers and Puppies
Will and I went out today to run some errands and I decided it was time for him to wear his tennis shoes. What do you think? He's got a little room to grow.....
The dogs are also really taking to Will. Here's a picture of Will and Remy relaxing with Dad, while Bitsy licks Will's toes.
Bath Time
Will had his first real bath last night. No more sponge baths...Yay! He cried at first, but learned to love it. He also doesn't seem to have a problem with having water poured all over his face. Can't wait to dunk him! Gotta get him used to that water.
All finished!

Newborn Pictures
We had a very talented newborn photographer come in to take pictures of Will on March 10. He was very cooperative and the 4 pictures I've seen turned out great. I will post more when I get them, but here are the ones from Erin's blog.

Aunt Kelly Comes for a Visit
Pat's sister, Kelly, lives in Atlanta and was not able to be here for Will's delivery. She came the first weekend we had him home and we were so glad she was able to spend some time with him. Will loves both his Aunt Becky and Aunt Kelly.

We also took our first stroll the weekend Kelly was home. Will really seemed to enjoy his time outside and we have taken several walks since then.
Homecoming
March 4th, the day we finally got to bring Will home. Here are a few pictures from that day!
Mom, Will, and Dad
Will is wearing the outfit my Aunt Kay made for him! It is gorgeous.
Some of you may recognize that yellow blanket. It is almost 30 years old and was made by my Nanny Dodson, who was an amazing quilter, among other things. She made that blanket for me when I was born.
Bitsy, meet Will. Pat and I were a little worried about how the dogs would react to Will, but surprisingly they have done well. Just wait until he can grab for them. I think their attitude will change.
Remy is checking Will out. I think he likes him.

Soakin up the Rays
Pat and I were looking forward to bringing Will home on March 3, but our pediatrician had other plans. Will had jaundice and had to stay in the hospital an extra day soakin up the rays in a bilibed. He loved it in there! Never cried once, but did have trouble keeping on his shades.
"Birth" Day
March 1, 2010...A day that changed our lives forever! After 39 long weeks of pregnancy, Pat and I were scheduled to arrive at Huntsville Hospital Women's and Children's at 6 a.m. for induction. Of course, we arrived right on time to only sit and wait in the waiting room for about an hour. How frustrating! We got back in our room around 7:00 and immediately got the IV hooked up (after 3 tries). The doctor didn't come in until 10:30. This is when the real fun started. Dr. Kakani broke my water and I anxiously waited for the epidural! Two epidurals later, we were ready to go.
Waiting on baby Will!
The afternoon went by slowly and I was starving, but luckily I had Pat, my mom, dad, sister, and best friend, Anne, to keep me company.
Just sitting around waiting.
At 6:16 pm, after 2.5 hours of pushing, William Daniel Clark made his entrance into the world! It was the most amazing feeling. Words can not express the emotions that went through Pat and I when we saw our precious son for the first time. It made it all the more special that we didn't know Will was Will until he was born! We kept the gender a surprise and it was well worth it. I recommend that to anyone.
